Rental Policy

  • A Rental Application Form requiring your personal signature which is sent to you by email. Please returned completed, in person or by mail.

  • Payment in full for each booking the first of the month the event is taking place with either cash or cheque.

  • Advertising in our bi-monthly newsletter must be paid in advance with room payment. The cost is $20.

  • Please make cheques payable to

  • Please note your reservation is NOT final until we have received your application form and payment. If payment and the application are not received within 5 days of your request we reserve the right to rent this space to others.

The James Street Wellness Centre does not assume responsibility for activities held in our Centre during rental periods. The renter accepts liability and responsibility for any damage to the building and contents during the rental period.

Cancellation Policy

A 50% deposit is required at time of booking to confirm your booking. The remaining portion of payment is required on the first of the month the event is taking place.

In an instance where cancellation of an event occurs, the 50% deposit does not get reimbursed. The remainder will be refunded, provided a minimum one (1) month notice is given.

Description of Facilities

The Conference room is carpeted. Seating is sturdy and comfortable. A kettle is available for use. Please note there are kitchen facilities available. The Centre is situated close to Bank Street where there are a large number of cafes, coffee houses and restaurants within a 5-minute walk. There are 2 bathrooms. The main door of the building closes at 8.00 pm every evening and the doors are locked on Sundays. So arrangements must be made ahead of time to pick up the keys. There is a buzzer system to gain admittance to the elevator at the rear entrance for wheelchair access. The Main Entrance is on James Street and is not wheelchair accessible.

  • The building is smoke free
  • Please provide your own supplies. (Water is available).
  • Please remove your outer footwear at the door to the Centre.
  • Burning of candles and incense is not permitted.
  • The building and its contents should be left as they were found
